Build confidence and emotional strength at home
Instead of feeling unsure how to help, parents gain a clear roadmap for supporting their child—so their child can move from worry toward confidence and resilience.
Every child experiences moments when emotions become overwhelming. In those moments, a child’s brain can become “flooded,” making it difficult for them to think clearly, listen, or calm themselves down. What may look like defiance, meltdowns, or shutdowns is often a child’s nervous system struggling to regain balance.
In When Kids Get Flooded, parents learn what is happening in their child’s brain during emotional overwhelm and how to respond in ways that help their child regulate rather than escalate. Based on brain-based principles from best-selling book Flooded: A Brain-Based Guide to Help Children Manage Emotions, this program provides practical tools parents can use in everyday moments.
Parents will learn how to:
Recognize the signs that their child is becoming emotionally flooded
Understand what is happening in the brain during dysregulation
Respond in ways that help calm the nervous system
Teach children simple strategies to regain control of their emotions
Build emotional resilience and regulation over time
Instead of feeling helpless during emotional outbursts, parents leave with a clear understanding of how to support their child through big emotions—helping them move from overwhelm back to calm and connection.
Children today face a wide range of emotional and social challenges—from managing big feelings to navigating friendships, conflict, and setbacks. In Growing Up Strong, parents learn how to support their child in developing the emotional skills needed to handle life’s challenges with confidence and resilience.
Based on the principles from Growing Up Strong: Empowering Young Minds to Manage Emotions, Navigate Conflict and Embrace Growth, this coaching program provides parents with practical tools to help their child understand emotions, communicate effectively, and develop healthy ways to work through difficult situations.
In this program, parents will learn how to:
Help their child understand and manage emotions in healthy ways
Guide children through conflict with peers, siblings, and adults
Teach problem-solving and communication skills
Support resilience when children face disappointment or setbacks
Foster confidence, emotional awareness, and personal growth
